Doctor Strange
This is a toy of Doctor Strange from the 2016 movie of the same name. Being frustrated with the toy not standing upright on its own, as well as not liking the accumulation of dust in all the intricate folds of the toy, I cast it in my largest resin block to date! Finished Product
This is the final piece, after it was sanded into shape, the Dark Dimension-esque background put on with alcohol inks and another layer of resin.
The weight of the project
As you can see in the picture, this particular block weighs over 4 pounds, and that’s FOUR POUNDS OF RESIN! This thing took me 6 layers to pour, but man, was it worth it!
A side view of the project
I was very pleased the alcohol ink left the block translucent, allowing light to highlight the figure better.
